There’s something undeniably seductive about the beginning of the fall season. Slightly cooler air carries both memory and possibility, the golden light of the sun’s amber rays softens against tree leaves, hinting autumn is right around the bend. And, of course, the start of the fall season also marks the return to the routine of “back-to-school” and regular work schedules. Notwithstanding, this time of year promises renewal—moments of transformation that steady our power and bind us more strongly to one another.
In that spirit of transformation, I’m thrilled to announce the premiere of Season 7 of the podcast Belonging to Blackness! This new season is emblematic of lasting power, moving us into fresh terrain where history, identity, and culture meets storytelling with voices that refuse to be silenced. Season 7 continues that tradition with urgency and grace, amplifying African descended brilliance while celebrating what Black joy and belonging truly means in a world that often seeks to deny it.
