I once read somewhere that writers who don’t accept they’re on a journey into the unknown will never produce works that last in the hearts and minds of their audience.
My journey as a writer or storyteller is one that demonstrates how I, as a reader myself, am drawn to enduring stories that seek to explain who we are and why we behave as we do. These stories are also ones that speak to the enduring spirit of overcoming significant obstacles; are stories preoccupied with power and influence and the efforts made to challenge them; and are stories about love—love of people, community and of country.
The content on this website reflects my own desire to tell stories that empower diverse African descended voices and communities; tell stories that celebrate who they are and their enduring spirits to overcome and conquer obstacles and circumstance; and to uplift love–self love, love of people and community, locally, regionally and globally.
