(Un)Known Project is a Louisville, Kentucky artist-run nonprofit collaborative of IDEAS x Lab, whose mission is to use art to unearth the names, stories, histories and experiences of U.S. enslaved African descendants in order to support racial healing and reconciliation. The episode considers the use art installations and immersive experiences to tell a fuller and more accurate account of U.S. history of enslavement and its legacy today in the face of profound efforts to rewrite/ “white-wash” history. Listening to this episode was very engaging . Hannah and Josh, are so involved in their project and community, teaching all Americans about our History. We cannot erase reality, and the truth is our responsibility to learn.
We have to be involved although, it is painful however, necessary to embrace Josh and Hannah with love.and protection.
